EASTER IN TOUCH WITH NATURE

Easter in Oñati coincides with some of spring’s most beautiful days. It’s an ideal time to visit the Sanctuary of Arantzazu and enjoy its contemporary art and natural surroundings. Guided tours allow encounters with works by artists such as Oteiza, Basterretxea, and Chillida.

Visitors reaching Arantzazu will find themselves at the gateway of Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park, offering a variety of nature trails. A pleasant and accessible route leads to Gomiztegi, while those seeking higher altitudes can head towards Urbia’s stunning highlands.

Through Pottokaleku, you can discover the oldest European horse breed, the pottoka. Contact them at 670274461.

THE BEST LOCAL GASTRONOMY AT EASTER

Enjoy the finest local cuisine at restaurants and bars across town. Additionally, acquire local gastronomic products such as chocolate, txakoli, and Idiazabal cheese. Don’t miss the local market held every Saturday!
